Barcode Fashions is a fast-fashion ladies jersey wear manufacturer supplying the British high street retailer.  Clients include retailers such as; BHS, Jane Norman, Next, Lipsy, JD Williams & Boohoo

 

Main duties include;

  -Translating initial sketches into working drawings and appealing, economical patterns, while matching each garment’s finish to the individual brand’s requirements.

  - Resourcefully reworking the bestsellers into fresh styles

  - Capably managing workload with multiple deadlines within a fast paced working environment

  - Developing trend features into original patterns

  - Creating toiles and mocks to enable ease in production

  - Advising designers on garments finishes

  - Producing patterns within the limitations of commercial laces and trims

  - Travelling to attend regular fit sessions with clients

  - Accurately making fit alterations and seeing them through to sealing stage to ensure the client is pleased with the overall garment fit/ finish and producing grading specifications for the grader and production manager

  -Occasional manual grading and manipulating pattern into petite, tall and plus size specifications.

  - Problem-solving with garment production staff

  - Meticulously maintaining Excel fit garments workbooks
